The protection of your personal data is particularly important to us. Below, we inform you about the processing of personal data when using the WeekBite app and this website.

2. Recipe Import and AI Analysis

WeekBite allows importing recipes from videos (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram), photos, and URLs. For analysis, video URLs or image data are sent encrypted to an AI service (OpenAI). The AI extracts ingredients, preparation steps, and nutritional information. Transmitted data is not permanently stored after processing.

3. Local Data Storage

All recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists are stored exclusively on your device (SwiftData). Optionally, data can be synced via your personal iCloud account. We have no access to your iCloud data.

4. Authentication (Firebase)

For optional group features, we use Firebase Authentication. This processes email address or Apple ID. Firebase stores this data on Google servers. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Crash Reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

To improve app stability, we use Firebase Crashlytics. This collects anonymized crash reports and device information. No personal data is transmitted.

6. In-App Purchases (RevenueCat)

We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat processes anonymized purchase data and device IDs to provide subscription functionality. For more information, see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

7. Analytics and Telemetry (TelemetryDeck)

We use TelemetryDeck for anonymous usage statistics. TelemetryDeck is a privacy-friendly, GDPR-compliant analytics service based in Germany. No personal data or IP addresses are stored.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Since most data is stored exclusively on your device, you can delete it yourself at any time.
